I want to like these shoes so much. They look sharp, fit to size (though definitely wide) and they're super stiff.
BUT...
There is a seam of threads in the front toe of my left shoe. I don't feel it when I'm walking, but as soon as I get out of the saddle on a climb, they cut in between my toes and toenails, slowly giving the feeling that my toenails are getting pulled off. When I land from a jump, the pain is even more sharp and swift. They have not drawn blood yet, but it feels like they do every time.
ALSO,
The cleat plate on the bottom feels like really cheap steel. The screws from my Time cleats barely reach the threads and strip out the top of the "Mutter" without going in. I had to buy longer screws to reach the Mutter. Perhaps the rubber on the bottom of the shoes is too thick? Or the Mutter in the steel plate is too soft? Or Time's screws are too short. I don't know.
IN SUMMARY
Really, it's the asinine location of the threads / seam in the toes of the shoe that makes them unrideable. I have never experienced this in any type of shoe before and would have expected a much better, more comfortable mold, coming from Adidas on Five Ten's most expensive shoe. Bummer.

Der Schuh fällt ziemlich kurz aus, mußte 1volle Nummer größer bestellt werden als sonst. Macht einen sehr robusten Eindruck. Übliche Schwäche: die Innensohle ist weich für zusätzliche Dämpfung, beim Gehen reibt daher die Ferse am Futter auf und ab. Sohle sehr hart aber griffig,
Die Oberkante links und rechts der Zunge schneidet bei mir etwas ein wenn die Schnürung ganz fest zu ist.
Dennoch bin ich begeistert von der Mischung aus lässiger Optik mit bombenfestem Halt und einer schön steifen Sohle.
