Very bright LED light: The Deca Drive bike light from Lezyne is highly recommended.
It is very bright and if you do a bit of tinkering and soldering you can assemble a battery yourself for little money and replace the old one after the battery life has ended.
Only the mount system is tedious.
This rubber band is too weak even for use in city traffic with my city MTB. The lamp is then always top-heavy and rotates forward on the handlebars.
I have now repurposed an old Cateye mount for the Deca Drive lamp.
The original Lezyne mounts are bad because the lamp is only held in place by a small plastic clip. I think the lamp will fly away if you brake suddenly or go downhill in the forest. The Cateye mounts at least have more than one thin clip to hold it in the direction of travel.
