The backpack is very comfortable to wear, considering that it doesn't have a fixed back plate. But the 1200 g weight has to come from somewhere. We carried it for almost 10 hours with a normal load the first time we used it, climbing 1400 meters (even in more challenging terrain) and I'm very happy with the purchase.
The only thing I would have liked was a small outside pocket - preferably just made of stretch mesh. The poles can also be easily stored in the ice axe holder and the upper pull loops on the side.
An external zipper for access to the lower part of the backpack would be the icing on the cake. But to be fair, we want to consider the price range of this model.
The volume of 32+8 is very suitable for a wide range of terrain and is also sufficient for multi-day mountain tours.
All in all, a high-quality, affordable backpack with good quality materials and workmanship, which sits very well on the body thanks to its compact cut and does not stand out in any negative way. Well done Deuter!
I would choose it again and can happily recommend the model.
