Whilst the material remains cold, the small pores remain closed; if the temperature rises, the membrane opens to ensure ideal wicking of moisture and temperature regulation. The four pockets can be used to easily stow away everything you need. In addition, you can actively regulate your temperature using the ventilation zippers.
