I bought them as a ski poles with high expectations from Leki. Overall impression very good including the locking mechanism, the build quality, the sturdiness,... But...
Straps really suck. While you use them (e.g. walking or ski touring) they tend to slip that is the strap loops are prolonging on their own during the use. You need to shorten them again and again during the usage. I think the problem is that straps are thin and a slippery material is used. Nice for touch though but it seems holding mechanism doesn't keep the straps in place securely.
Workaround: Make a not on the free strap end at desired length and these will keep straps at the desired length since the knot cannot be pulled into the handle once it hits the handle.
