I ordered ultralight, I got ultralight. Unfortunately, in order to reduce the weight, this backpack has dispensed with pretty much everything that I think you would expect from a lightweight backpack: There is no small compartment or pouch for money/mobile phone, not even a loop for your car keys. The seat cushion is a nice idea, but not very practical when the backpack is full. I haven't tried it, but I think it's a marketing fairytale that you can attach your skis to this backpack and carry them comfortably with the ultralight carrying system.
The bottom line is that the backpack serves its purpose and can accommodate a change of clothes and a snack, and if necessary, avalanche equipment, all while being very lightweight.
